Funeral Accounts

Peace of mind for you and your family.

Many people wish to put money aside for their funeral, but do not want to obligate themselves to a particular funeral director or funeral plan.

The CDF Funeral Savings Account provides real benefits and ensures that all monies are directed to your estate for funeral-related expenses. It can relieve unnecessary stress at a difficult time, as well as helping to ensure that your wishes will be carried out,

You have peace of mind while you are saving too, from knowing that by saving for your funeral with CDF, you are helping others in the Catholic Community.

You can invest a single lump sum if you choose, or add smaller amounts when you can – whatever suits your situation best.

Upon death, ALL accumulated interest and capital is directed to your estate to cover the costs of your funeral. Any surplus funds form part of your estate.

Interest is calculated on a daily basis and compounded six monthly on 31st March and 30th September. The current interest rate is available under "Rates and Terms".

  • No withdrawals are permitted during the account holder's lifetime.
