With an Education Investment Plan,you can place a lump sum, or organise timed deposits into an Education Account for a child. The child gains access to the fund when they turn 20.
Until that time, your child’s fund will be earning interest, whilst enabling the CDF to develop the facilities of Catholic schools for the benefit of other children.
Interest is calculated on a daily basis and compounded six monthly on 31st March and 30th September. The current interest rate is available under "Rates and Terms".
Before the investment matures, up to four withdrawals per year at a minimum of $50 can be made for educational purposes. The parent / care giver retains control of the account until the nominated child turns 20 years old.
NO account fees are charged on this account.
Investments are backed by the assets of the Archdiocese.
